By StudioLebanon Updated 10 min read

StudioLebanon rental rates: $50 for one hour, $120 for four hours and $200 for eight hours, with lighting included.

Last updated: 14 October 2026

At StudioLebanon in Zouk Mosbeh, renting our photo and video studio costs $50 for one hour, $120 for a half day (4 hours) and $200 for a full day (8 hours), with a complete lighting kit included. That works out to $30 an hour on a half day and $25 an hour on a full day. Whichever studio you book in Lebanon, compare what is included, not just the headline rate.

This guide is for photographers, videographers, podcasters, content creators and small brands anywhere in Lebanon who want to book a studio by the hour or by the day. We cover what to check before you book any studio, exactly what our rates include, the math on which plan to pick, and the costs that surprise people.

Finding 1: The rate card is only half the story, because the fine print varies a lot

Claim: When you compare studios in Lebanon, the real differences are rarely in the headline rate. They are in minimum bookings, peak-hour rules, VAT and what gear is actually included.

Data: These are the conditions renters most often discover after they have already booked a studio, and none of them shows up in a headline hourly rate:

  • Tax on top: some rate cards are quoted before VAT, so the invoice is higher than the number you compared.
  • Deposits: a deposit is common, and it is often non-refundable if you reschedule.
  • Peak-hour rules: some studios do not sell one- or two-hour slots in the middle of the day, which quietly turns a short shoot into a half-day booking.
  • Bare rooms: the room may be cheap while lights, stands and backdrops are charged one by one.

None of this is unusual, and it isn’t a criticism of anyone. It just means the number on the rate card and the number you actually pay can be different. That is why we publish our three plans with the full kit list attached, so the price you read is the price of a working studio.

Practical translation: Before you compare hourly rates, ask every studio four things: is VAT included, is there a minimum booking, are short slots blocked at peak times, and is lighting included or extra.

Finding 2: What $50 an hour actually gets you at StudioLebanon

Claim: A studio’s hourly rate only means something once you know what gear comes with it. Ours includes a full lighting setup, so most shoots need no extra rental.

Data: Every StudioLebanon rental, whether it’s one hour or a full day, includes:

  • Amaran 300C RGB LED light (full-color, 300W class)
  • 2× Godox spotlight attachments for shaped, hard light and patterns
  • 2× flashes with trigger for stills
  • Softboxes
  • 2× C-stands with arms, plus lightweight stands
  • Background stand with backdrop support
  • Private changing room
  • Universal plugs and a Bluetooth speaker

Optional add-ons are priced up front: a Godox mic for $15, a fog machine for $10 (10ml of fluid included), and a Godox LC500R light stick, price on request.

For context, putting this kit together yourself means buying a full-color LED, two flashes and a trigger, spotlight attachments, softboxes and two C-stands, then finding the space to store them and the time to rig and strike them for every shoot. If you shoot in a studio a few times a month, $50 an hour with all of that already set up and ready to go is hard to beat.

If you shoot often and would rather build your own setup, our sister store studiolebanon.com/shop carries Godox and Amaran lighting, cameras, lenses, Hollyland audio and tripods. It is priced to be the best in Lebanon: original gear and 2–3 business day delivery across Lebanon. Plenty of our renters start in the studio, learn which lights they actually use, and buy only those.

Practical translation: Bring your camera and your idea. Lighting, stands, a backdrop support and a changing room are already covered at the rates on our studio rental page.

Finding 3: Hourly vs. half day vs. full day: the break-even math

Claim: Most people book the wrong plan because they guess how long the shoot will take. The per-hour math makes it easy.

Data: Here are our three plans side by side:

PlanPriceHoursEffective cost per hourBest for
Hourly$501$50One quick product set, a headshot, a test shoot, or a single short reel
Half day$1204$30A batch of reels, a podcast episode, a small product catalog
Full day$2008$25Lookbooks, multi-client days, full content batches, several setups

Here are the break-even points:

  • 1–2 hours: book hourly ($50 or $100).
  • 3 hours: book the half day. Three hourly slots cost $150, while the half day is $120 and gives you a fourth hour free.
  • 5 hours: a half day plus one hour ($170) still beats a full day.
  • 6 hours or more: book the full day. A half day plus two hours is $220, but the full day is $200 for eight hours.

Practical translation: If there’s any chance your shoot runs past two hours, book the half day. Rushing to save $20 usually costs you more in bad takes.

Finding 4: Location matters more than people admit, especially north of Beirut

Claim: For creators in Keserwan, Jounieh, Byblos and the upper Metn, a studio in Zouk Mosbeh can save real time compared with crossing into Beirut.

Data: Zouk Mosbeh sits on the coastal highway between Beirut and Jounieh. If you’re coming from Jounieh, Kaslik, Byblos or inland Keserwan, you can typically reach us without dealing with Beirut city traffic. Actual drive times always depend on the hour and the day, so plan around rush hour either way. Our own search data points the same way: over the last three months, the query “product photoshoot beirut studio” brought our site 95 impressions and “creative studio photography lebanon” brought 82. People search for “Beirut” out of habit, but what they want is a good studio that’s easy to get to.

Practical translation: Search for “studio rental Lebanon,” not just Beirut, and include travel time and parking in your budget. An hour lost in traffic costs about as much as an hour of studio time.

Finding 5: What you can actually shoot in a rental studio

Claim: A mid-size, well-lit studio handles far more than portraits. Most creator and small-brand work fits comfortably.

Data: Here’s what people typically book our studio for:

  • Talking heads: one Amaran 300C through a softbox plus a spotlight for hair or background light is a clean, proven setup. (Rather not self-shoot? See our talking head video packages.)
  • Podcasts: add the $15 Godox mic, or bring your own audio. We also offer a produced podcast recording service.
  • Product shots: use the two flashes with a trigger for crisp stills, and the RGB light for colored-gel looks.
  • Lookbooks and fashion: the private changing room makes outfit changes quick. A full day is usually the right call here.
  • Reels and short-form: use the RGB color, spotlight patterns and the $10 fog machine to create mood without building a set.

Practical translation: Write your shot list first, count your setups, and allow about 30–45 minutes per lighting change. That tells you which plan you need.

Finding 6: The hidden costs of studio rental, anywhere in Lebanon

Claim: The rate card is rarely the final bill. Most overruns come from a few predictable places.

Data: Here’s what we typically see catch renters out across the market, in general terms:

  • Gear add-ons: some studios rent the room bare and charge separately for lights, stands or backdrops. Ask for the included equipment list in writing.
  • Overtime: going over your booked time is normally billed extra, if the next slot is even free. Many studios count time from check-in to check-out, not from your first frame.
  • VAT and deposits: some rates are quoted before VAT, and deposits are often non-refundable.
  • Power: in Lebanon, it’s always worth asking how a studio handles electricity during your slot before you plan a long shoot around continuous lights.
  • Models and crew: a model, stylist or camera operator can cost more than the studio itself. StudioLebanon models start from $50/hour per model, quoted before the shoot. Our guide to booking models for a shoot in Lebanon explains the process.

Practical translation: Ask for a total, all-in quote including setup and teardown time. If a studio won’t give you one, that tells you something.

Myth: “You need a full day” and “studio rental is only for pros”

Myth 1: You have to book a full day. Not true. A tight product set or a single talking-head video fits into our $50 hourly slot, and a half day covers most creator batches. Full days are for lookbooks, multiple setups or multiple clients.

Myth 2: Only professionals rent studios. Many of our renters are small brand owners with a mirrorless camera or even a phone, podcasters recording their first episode, and creators batching a month of reels. The lighting is already set up, so you’re not starting from zero, and good light does more for a phone video than any filter.

What didn’t actually matter: studio size beyond the basics. For talking heads, podcasts, product shots and most reels, clean light and a quiet, private space matter far more than floor area. And if you want the shoot handled end to end, you can skip self-shooting entirely and book our crew. See our services or product photography, which starts at $80 for the first hour with editing included.

What to do this week

  1. Write your shot list and count the lighting setups. Use about 30–45 minutes per setup to estimate total hours.
  2. Pick your plan with the break-even rule: 1–2 hours hourly, 3–5 hours half day (plus an hour if needed), 6+ hours full day.
  3. Ask any studio you’re considering about VAT, minimum bookings, peak-hour rules, overtime and power, and get it in writing.
  4. Decide whether you’re self-shooting or want a crew, and whether you need a model or the $15 mic or $10 fog machine add-ons.
  5. Book your slot through our contact page or on +961 76 393 638.

FAQ

How much does it cost to rent a photo studio in Lebanon? It depends on the studio, the length of the booking and what is included, so always check VAT, deposits and the gear list before you compare. StudioLebanon in Zouk Mosbeh charges $50 per hour, $120 for a half day (4 hours) and $200 for a full day (8 hours), with the full lighting kit included.

Is lighting included in StudioLebanon’s studio rental? Yes. Every booking includes an Amaran 300C RGB LED, two Godox spotlight attachments, two flashes with a trigger, softboxes, two C-stands with arms, lightweight stands, a background stand with backdrop support, a private changing room, universal plugs and a Bluetooth speaker. A Godox mic ($15) and a fog machine ($10) are optional add-ons.

Can I rent a studio by the hour in Lebanon? Yes. Many studios offer hourly bookings, though some block one- or two-hour slots during peak times. Our hourly rate is $50. Once you need three hours or more, our half day at $120 works out cheaper.

Where is StudioLebanon’s studio? We’re in Zouk Mosbeh, Keserwan, on the coastal highway between Beirut and Jounieh. It’s typically a convenient option for creators coming from Jounieh, Byblos and the rest of Keserwan, as well as from Beirut and the Metn.

Do I need to bring my own camera and crew? For a studio rental, yes. You bring your camera and team, and we provide the space and lighting. If you’d rather not shoot it yourself, you can book StudioLebanon’s production team for photography, talking head videos or podcasts instead.

Is a studio worth it for phone content? Usually, yes. Controlled lighting is the biggest upgrade for phone video and photos, and one hour in a lit studio can produce several reels or a full set of product shots.
