Canon EOS R5 Mark II Price in Lebanon: Is $3,450 Worth $970 More Than the R6 Mark III?
The Canon EOS R5 II price in Lebanon is $3,450 for the body at our gear store, which is priced to be the best in Lebanon on original gear, with delivery anywhere in Lebanon in 2–3 business days. It is worth the extra $970 over the $2,480 EOS R6 Mark III only if your paid work needs 45MP files, 8K video or heavy cropping. For most creators, the R6 Mark III is the smarter buy.
We run a photo and video studio in Zouk Mosbeh, and we sell cameras through studiolebanon.com/shop. That gives us two jobs here. We want to sell you the right camera, and we want to tell you when the expensive one is the wrong one.
This guide covers the Canon R5 Mark II price in Lebanon, a direct Canon R5 II vs R6 III comparison, what to pair it with, and a buying checklist for Lebanon (warranty, grey imports, USD pricing). Every price below is in USD. Every shop price is the live price on the Canon EOS R5 II Body product page and its sister listings as of September 2026.
Finding 1: At $3,450, our R5 Mark II is priced to be the best in Lebanon
Claim: The R5 Mark II is Canon’s high-resolution flagship hybrid, and our shop prices it to be the best in Lebanon for a new, original body.
Data: Canon announced the EOS R5 Mark II in July 2024. Here are our current Canon full-frame listings side by side, all live on the shop as of September 2026:
| Camera | What it is | StudioLebanon shop |
|---|---|---|
| Canon EOS R5 Mark II (body) | 45MP stacked-sensor flagship, 8K video | $3,450 |
| Canon EOS R6 Mark III (body) | 32.5MP all-rounder, 7K video | $2,480 |
| Canon EOS R6 Mark II + RF 24-105mm STM kit | 24.2MP body with a zoom lens | $2,380 |
| Canon EOS R8 with 24-50mm | Lightweight full-frame kit | $1,240 |
Every listing ships across Lebanon in 2–3 business days, and every price is public on the product page, so you can plan the full system before you order.
Practical translation: Plan on $3,450 for a new R5 Mark II body in Lebanon, and ask any seller, us included, about warranty, stock and condition before you pay.
Finding 2: Canon R5 II vs R6 III: the $970 buys resolution, not speed
Claim: The R6 Mark III matches or beats the R5 Mark II on most spec-sheet headlines. The real gap is the sensor.
Data: From Canon’s official specifications:
| Spec | EOS R5 Mark II ($3,450) | EOS R6 Mark III ($2,480) |
|---|---|---|
| Sensor | 45MP full-frame, stacked, back-illuminated | 32.5MP full-frame |
| Max burst | 30 fps electronic / 12 fps mechanical | 40 fps electronic / 12 fps mechanical |
| Top video mode | 8K 60p RAW Light (internal) | 7K 60p RAW Light, plus 7K 30p open gate |
| 4K high frame rate | 4K up to 120p | 4K up to 120p |
| Card slots | CFexpress Type B + SD | CFexpress Type B + SD |
Both bodies top out at 12 fps with the mechanical shutter, and the cheaper R6 III is actually faster in electronic burst. What the R5 II adds is 38% more pixels (45MP vs 32.5MP), 8K instead of 7K, in-body stabilization rated up to 8.5 stops at the center, Eye Control AF, and support for an optional cooling-fan grip for long recordings.
Practical translation: If you shoot sports or events for speed, save the $970. Pay for the R5 II when your deliverable gets cropped, printed large or reframed.
Finding 3: Crop headroom is what product and real estate clients are really paying for
Claim: Studios that deliver one shot in several formats get the most out of 45MP.
Data: Here is a concrete example from our own work. On a typical ecommerce shoot at our studio, one hero frame becomes a square Instagram post, a white-background Shopify or Amazon image and a vertical story. A 45MP file cropped to half its area still leaves about 22.5MP, which is close to a full frame from a 24MP camera. A 32.5MP file cropped the same way leaves about 16MP.
Our own Google Search Console shows why this matters in Lebanon. Over the last three months, “ecommerce product photography lebanon” drew 97 impressions, “amazon product photography lebanon” 71, and “instagram product photography lebanon” 48. Buyers are asking for platform-specific crops, and resolution is how you get them from one setup instead of three.
The same logic applies to real estate photography: wide interiors, bracketed HDR and straightened verticals all eat pixels. 8K video works the same way. You can pull a vertical 4K reel out of a horizontal 8K frame.
Practical translation: If your clients are brands, agencies or property marketers, 45MP is billable. If they are Instagram followers, it mostly isn’t.
Finding 4: For $3,450, the R6 Mark II kit buys a complete setup instead
Claim: For a creator starting out, the R5 II body alone costs the same as an entire working kit.
Data: The R6 Mark II (24.2MP, up to 40 fps electronic, 4K 60p oversampled from 6K, dual SD slots) with the RF 24-105mm STM lens is $2,380. Spend the $1,070 difference on gear from the same shop and you land on exactly the R5 II body price:
| Item | Shop price |
|---|---|
| Canon R6 II + RF 24-105mm STM kit | $2,380 |
| DJI RS 5 gimbal | $535 |
| Amaran Halo 300x bi-color LED | $300 |
| Hollyland Lark M2 Combo wireless mics | $150 |
| Triopo 90cm Bowens softbox with grid | $85 |
| Total | $3,450 |
That is a camera, lens, gimbal, key light, softbox and two wireless mics for the price of one R5 II body with no lens. In our experience, the lighting and audio improve a talking-head or product video more than the extra 21MP will.
Practical translation: If you don’t own lights and mics yet, the R5 Mark II is the wrong first purchase.
Finding 5: Pairing the R5 Mark II: build the whole system from one shop
Claim: The R5 II is sold body only, so the real budget is body plus lens, audio and support.
Data: Our R5 II body ($3,450) plus the Canon RF 24-105mm f/4L USM ($1,060) comes to $4,510 for a pro body-and-lens pair. Here is a working-pro kit built only from our catalog:
| Item | Why | Shop price |
|---|---|---|
| Canon EOS R5 II Body | The camera | $3,450 |
| Canon RF 24-105mm f/4L USM | One lens for product, interiors, events | $1,060 |
| DJI Mic 3 | Wireless audio for interviews and reels | $290 |
| Benro A650FHD3 tripod kit | Locked-off product and video shots | $240 |
| Amaran Halo 300x | Bi-color key light | $300 |
| Total | $5,340 |
Worthwhile swaps: add the Canon RF 50mm f/1.8 ($200) for portraits and tabletop work. Choose the Hollyland Lark Max 2 four-person combo ($320) if you record panels or podcasts. Consider the DJI RS 5 Combo ($655) for moving shots, but check its payload rating against your exact lens.
Two things the R5 II needs that we don’t currently stock: CFexpress Type B cards (8K RAW needs them) and LP-E6P batteries, which Canon says you need for all of the new features. Budget for both. Our Power, Memory & Accessories category has just one SKU today, and we’d rather tell you now than after you order.
Practical translation: Budget the R5 II as a $5,000+ system, not a $3,450 body.
Finding 6: Buying a Canon R5 Mark II in Lebanon: warranty matters as much as price
Claim: On a camera at this price, the difference between a good deal and a bad one is almost always after-sales support.
Data: Here is the checklist we would use with any seller in Lebanon, including us:
- Warranty type. Ask whether it is a regional or official-distributor warranty or a seller warranty, how long it runs, and where repairs actually happen. Grey imports can be genuine, but they may not be serviced through the local official channel.
- New and sealed. Confirm the camera is new in box. Check that the serial number on the body matches the box.
- USD pricing and payment. Camera prices in Lebanon are typically quoted in USD. Confirm the total, the accepted payment methods and whether delivery is included before you commit.
- Returns. Our shop and is priced to be the best in Lebanon. Whoever you buy from, get the return terms in writing.
- Delivery. We ship across Lebanon in 2–3 business days, from Beirut and the Metn to Jounieh, Keserwan and beyond.
- Test it properly. Book our studio from $50 an hour (studio rental rates) and put the camera through a real shoot under proper lights within your return window.
Practical translation: Get the warranty answer in writing before you pay. On a camera at this level, it matters as much as anything else on the invoice.
Myth check: who shouldn’t buy the R5 Mark II
Myth: “8K is the reason to buy it.” For most Lebanese creators, deliverables end up as 4K or 1080p on Instagram, TikTok and YouTube. 8K is useful for reframing, and it fills cards and drives fast. If you never crop, 8K is a cost, not a feature.
Myth: “The flagship makes better content.” Lighting, audio and direction make better content. We see this in our own talking-head and product photography sessions: a well-lit mid-range body beats a badly lit flagship.
Skip the R5 Mark II if you are:
- A beginner or hobbyist. The Canon EOS R8 with 24-50mm ($1,240) is full-frame for about a third of the price.
- A social-first creator shooting mostly 4K talking heads. The Canon EOS R6 Mark III ($2,480) is faster and $970 cheaper.
- An event or sports shooter who values burst speed over pixels.
- Someone who would have to skip lights, mics or a proper lens to afford it.
What to do this week
- List your last 10 paid jobs and count how many were cropped, printed large or reframed. If it is fewer than half, shortlist the R6 Mark III.
- Price the full system: body, lens, two CFexpress Type B cards and a spare LP-E6P, not just the body.
- Check the live price on the Canon EOS R5 II Body page and get the warranty terms in writing before you order.
- Browse the Cameras & Lenses category to compare the R6 III, R6 II kit and R8 side by side.
- Book an hour in our Zouk Mosbeh studio to test your shortlist under real lights.
